SAUERKRAUT TOAST with Egg

Eggs are a great source of protein and pair well with any of our sauerkraut varieties.

Tofu is a terrific plant-based egg replacement and works equally well on sauerkraut toast. As you prepare the tofu, sprinkle on a little powered turmeric and paprika to bump-up flavor. Or simply use our GOLDEN SAUERKRAUT made with both turmeric and ginger for BIG BOLD flavor.

GOLDEN SAUERKRAUT TOAST

Eggs or scrambled tofu with sauerkraut is a delicious powerhouse meal to start your day. Enjoy the freedom to try new and different ingredients. Any kraut pairs with this base recipe, you can add as many Dagwood Ingredients as you will enjoy!

INGREDIENTS

2 COOKED Eggs - Any Style

1 SLICE whole grain or GF bread

1 SLICE Cheese of your choice melted onto cooked eggs

2 TBSP Golden Sauerkraut

DIRECTIONS

Cook the egg in pan and when almost done, add cheese of your choice

Toast bread

Assemble One Egg onto one slice of whole grain or GF bread

Dress with sauerkraut and dive in :)

OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS WE LOVE:

  • HANDFUL Leafy Greens (Spinach, Kale, Arugla)

  • 2 SLICES of Tomato when in season

  • Your favorite mayonnaise

  • Microgreens
